Spectacles of Mahatma Gandhi - the father of the nation, in Bristol, Britain, was auctioned online on Friday. Mahatma Gandhi's Spectacles was auctioned on behalf of the East Bristol Auctions Agency.

Mahatma Gandhi's were Glasses sold out in crores :
Mahatma Gandhi's Glasses was auctioned on behalf of the East Bristol Auctions Agency, which was bought by an American collector for Rs 2 crore 55 lakh. The glasses are believed to have been worn by Mahatma Gandhi and later given a gift to a family. The glasses are more than 100 years old and made of a gold layer. It is believed that it was worn by Mahatma Gandhi.


Glasses delivered during the visit in South Africa by  Mahatma Gandhi

Gandhiji helped as a health worker in the Anglo-Boer War of 1899 during his stay in Africa. He had witnessed the war and walked on the path of non-violence.

It may be noted that the agency which auctioned the glasses of Mahatma Gandhi has claimed that Bapu gifted the glasses to a person in the decade 1900. It is said that Mahatma Gandhi had given these glasses to his uncle when he was working in South Africa. It was a period between 1910 and 1930. The auctions have been made by the East Bristol Auctions Agency.

East Bristol Auctioneer Andy Stove concluded the bidding process on Friday, saying, "Incredible price of incredible stuff! Thank you to all those who bid. He said that these spectacles have not only created a record of auctions for us but are also historically important.
The seller said that this thing is interesting, but it has no value. It is invaluable. I think, seeing the price of the auction would not have been the surprise of his seller, "stove said. It was a wonderful auction. Something that we cannot imagine.

It is reported that before the auction of the glasses, it was expected that it would cost more than Rs 14 lakh, but as soon as the bid started, the spectacles auctioned at Rs 2 crore 55 lakh. And it is a absolutely a big bid.


There is no doubt that, more then value of the words of Mahatma Gandhiji, today is the price of the things his clothing glasses.
